JOB DESCRIPTION

REQUIRED SKILL SET

Social Media Executive

Primary roles are, but not limited to:

* Execution of online research and management of social media profiles

* Online research of Social Media tools

* Execution of online campaigns outlined for a specific client account (e.g. Initiating social conversations, set up and management of a blog on behalf of client, etc).

* Full ownership & management of client accounts assigned (range from FMCG, energy, real estate, IT, hospitality, banking, CSR, lifestyle, etc)

* You will build & manage online relations with bloggers, editorial teams of relevant portals, influencer profiles in twitter, social networks, etc.

 * Candidate should be degree educated up to level of Bachelors in a communications oriented discipline;

* Past experience in communications-oriented sectors (e.g. PR, advertising, DM) – this can either have been achieved through internship, placement, full employment etc;

* Qualification in SEO or SEM would be an added bonus;

* Basic understanding of some social media tools e.g. blogs, social networks (Facebook, Orkut, Twitter, etc).

* Strong writing skills

* Ability to use all Microsoft tools (Word, Ppt, Excel, etc)

* Ability to use at least one image editing program (e.g. Photoshop®, Paint) would be an added bonus

* You should be an excellent communicator with confidence in sharing your ideas, liaising with clients and the rest of the team as well as contributing to the wider knowledge base for WATConsult.com

* Demonstrated use of some social media tools outside of work – e.g. have a blog, active on Orkut, Facebook, YouTube etc

Content Writer

* Writing articles, news & features based on the information sourced online and on brands.

* Editing the entire content of brand information to make it social media friendly and bloggable.

* Create, develop and manage content focused on various brands.

* Keep current with emerging trends across verticals.

* Creating short and catchy one liners, quotes and status updates for facebook and twitter

* Excellent English writing skills, strong vocabulary, good reading and comprehension skills.

* Creative writing and the ability to play with words.

* Needs to have business and economic environment knowledge, to understand the content that will need to be worked on.

Social Media Application Developer


Will develop custom social media applications using core and emerging technologies, as well as provide consulting services to WATConsults clients. WATConsult provides custom application development services to large advertising clients, for which this role will be accountable.

 We required expert ability/proficiency in Facebook, Orkut and Twitter App development. Previous experience of developing such applications is necessary. Understanding and capability to develop Wordpress plugins.

- Experience with all phases of the development lifecycle with focus on design and build

- Extensive understanding of social media application architectures

- Proven and successful web application development experience within the social media space (Facebook, Twitter, Orkut and Wordpress)

- Working expertise with PHP / JavaScript / Cookie Management / CSS / MySQL / AJAX

- Familiarity with social media platform APIs (FBML / FBJS / OpenSocial 0.7, Wordpress)

- Strong object oriented design skills

- The ability to build and sustain partner relationships within the social media development community

- Hands on experience managing web analytics programs, with focus on metric development and tracking for application process funnel engagement

- Have working understanding of social platform’s “viral channels” and distribution methods

Preferences:

- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent

- Experience in social media application development

- Enthusiasm for understanding and influencing the social media community

- Experience with developing for targeted ad serving opportunities

- Excellent communication and organization skills

- Ability to develop repeatable routines and standards

- Desire to work in a collaborative and team-oriented startup environment

- Working experience with Flash / Flex development
